Diwali Party is the identity for a Diwali celebration in New York, carried across invitations, matchboxes, stickers, coasters, a drinks menu, and a party app. Every motif is an original vector illustration: diyas, rangoli, sparklers, and wrapped gifts drawn as bold shapes in the festival’s saturated pinks, greens, and blues, with a playful “Let’s get LIT” voice to match. The app’s intro animation was coded in Figma Make.

Diwali is the ancient festival of lights that originated in India. Food acts as a medium for hospitality, family bonding, and spiritual gratitude. The festival is celebrated with friends and family through gifts and communal fireworks. Each of those symbols is built into the identity, set in high-saturation colors that feel celebratory and playful, but modern.

01
Jalebi and samosa, the sweet and savory staples of any Diwali spread, became stickers and coasters.

02
The wordmark is a wrapped present: color-blocked paper tied with a gold ribbon.

03
The diya and sparkler carry the “Let’s get LIT” voice across the invitation, matchboxes and app.

04
High-saturation color says celebration and play. Flat geometric shapes and a clean grid keep it from feeling traditional.
